Activity

See everything you did in trackmyprop on one page, find any trade, note, or transaction, and open it where it lives.

Activity is the record of your prop-firm work in one place: trades, notes, challenge purchases and fees, payouts, expenses, certificates, and broker connections. A summary sits at the top, a year-at-a-glance graph sits in the middle, and a searchable list of every record sits below it.

Open Activity from the sidebar, or press Command-K and search for Activity, history, or streak. On Overview, the Activity widget's View activity footer opens the same page.

What Activity follows

Activity uses the same sidebar controls as the rest of trackmyprop:

  • Period. The summary, graph, and list cover the period you choose in the sidebar's date and timezone control.
  • Accounts. When you select accounts in the sidebar account switcher, Activity shows their trades, the challenges and connections they belong to, and the reviews and notes about them. Personal notes appear only when no accounts are selected. With no selection, Activity includes every account's history, including accounts whose connection is paused. Deleted, archived and disabled accounts are left out.
  • Days and times. A trade belongs to its account's trading day, the same day the Journal uses: the CME session for futures, the broker's day for CFD and forex accounts, otherwise the day in the timezone from the same control (see Trading days and periods). Times show in that timezone.

Trade, challenge and payout notes appear on the day you wrote them, with the time you wrote them. A trade note written after its trade's day names that day, for example "trade on Fri, Oct 9". A day review appears on the day it reviews, and week and month reviews appear on the last active day of their week or month; when a review was written on another day, the time column shows that date.

Trades still in their quote currency appear in the list in that currency, muted and labelled unconverted. They are left out of the day header net, the graph's net and readout, and symbol and copied-entry totals and win/loss counts. Wherever a net is shown, "N unconverted" says how many were left out.

Activity doesn't change records itself. Trades, challenges, payouts, and expenses open on their own pages, so you edit them in their usual place. Notes open in a note window, where you can edit them without leaving Activity.

Read the summary

The card at the top shows eight stats for the selected period:

  • Total activity, Trades, and Notes: how many records you have in the period in all, and how many of them are trades and notes.
  • Active days: days with at least one record.
  • Current streak and Longest streak: weekdays in a row with at least one record. Saturdays and Sundays never break or extend a streak, and today doesn't break your streak while it has no activity yet.
  • Busiest day: the day with the most records. Choose it to jump to that day in the list.
  • Top activity: the kind of record you created most often.

Below the numbers, a two-page chart shows Activity rhythm first: your records per day for short periods, or per week for longer ones. The second page, Activity by type, shows how your records split between trades, notes, transactions, and connections.

To switch pages, choose a dot under the chart, or scroll the chart sideways with a trackpad. Hover the rhythm chart to see the dates and record count at that point.

Read the activity graph

The graph shows 53 weeks, one square per day, with Sunday at the top of each column. It ends today, or at the end of the selected period when that period is in the past. Days outside the period are striped and can't be selected.

  • Shading. Darker squares mean more activity. The shades are spread across your own active days, so a busy year doesn't turn every square dark. The color is your theme accent, not a profit or loss color.
  • What it counts. The graph follows the list below it. Choose the Notes tab or type a search, and only matching days light up. A trade copied to several accounts counts once in the graph.
  • Day details. Hover or focus a square to see the date and what happened that day.
  • Jump to a day. Choose a shaded square to scroll the list to that day. When you select a record in the list, its day is outlined in the graph.

Find a record

The list groups your records by day, newest first.

  • Tabs. Choose All, Trades, Notes, Transactions, or Connections. Each tab except All shows how many records it holds, or how many match your search.
  • Search. Type in Search activity to search every kind of record at once. You can search for a symbol, account, firm, amount, date, or words in a note. Every word you type must match. Press Escape to clear the search.
  • Trades. Trades in the same symbol on the same day are grouped. Expand a group to see each trade. A trade copied to several accounts shows once, with each account's copy inside it.
  • Details. On a wide window, the record you select shows its details in a panel beside the list. Use Previous record and Next record to step through the list from the panel. On a narrower window, use the actions button on the row instead.

Right-click a row for all of its actions and Copy summary. When a record belongs to one account, the menu also offers Show only that account, which changes the sidebar account selection.

If a broker connection needs attention or part of your data couldn't load, a notice at the top of the page says what may be missing. Choose Open Live Connections or Retry to fix it.

What each record opens

Choosing a row selects it and shows its details. Double-click a row, or press Enter on it, to run its main action. The details panel and the row's menu list the other actions.
