Trade Copier

Copy trades from a master Account to follower Accounts in the same platform family.

Trade Copier lets one master Account copy trades to follower Accounts. New Copier Canvas groups can be prepared for Tradovate, NinjaTrader Brokerage Accounts connected through Tradovate, cTrader, Match-Trader, and Rithmic Test. The master and every follower must belong to the same platform family. Tradovate and these NinjaTrader Brokerage Accounts share one family and can be used together in a group.

Copying runs on your Mac, only while trackmyprop is open (the window, or the menu bar with the window closed) and the Mac is awake. A trade the master places while trackmyprop is closed, asleep or reconnecting is never copied later. See When you open trackmyprop.

Enabling a group sends orders to its connected broker environment, including simulated orders on Rithmic Test. Creating a group does not start copying: a new group is saved stopped and disabled until you add followers, review its rules, and explicitly enable it.

Existing copier groups remain visible for review and risk management. A platform that is not certified for live copying cannot be enabled for new exposure.

Match-Trader group setup, broker symbol discovery, account routing, and execution safeguards are built into the copier. Live Match-Trader copying is deliberately unavailable while multi-account sandbox certification is pending. You can connect Accounts and prepare a group, but trackmyprop will not arm it or send copied orders until that certification is complete.

Existing DXtrade groups use either CFD / Forex or Crypto Accounts. A group cannot mix those market families, and Futures Accounts must use dxFeed instead. Copied orders are enabled when the master and every follower use Demo Connections. Production Connections remain unavailable until the provider approves production routing.

Existing dxFeed-powered Futures groups copy only when the master and every follower use Staging Connections. Production Connections remain unavailable until production access, permission to submit copied orders, behaviour across sessions, and bracket/OCO safety are confirmed.

Cross-platform copying is not supported. For example, a cTrader master cannot copy to a Tradovate follower.

Copier status

Each group shows one status on its card, in its Canvas, and in the menu bar. Only Running copies new master trades.

  • Running — the group is copying. New master trades are copied and copied trades are managed.
  • Managing — a cTrader group set to Manage existing. New entries are blocked; closes, reductions and stop-loss/take-profit changes for copied trades continue.
  • Starting — trackmyprop is connecting to the broker and checking positions and orders. New master trades are not copied until the group shows Running.
  • Reconnecting — trackmyprop is restoring the broker connection. New master trades are not copied until the group shows Running. If it lasts more than 30 seconds, you get an alert. If the copier itself stops unexpectedly, the group shows "The copier runtime stopped unexpectedly. Restarting it." and restarts within seconds.
  • Refreshing — a planned renewal of the broker session. It is brief and copying resumes by itself.
  • Waiting for sign-in — the group needs your trackmyprop sign-in (Tradovate connections whose sign-in is held by trackmyprop). Sign in to resume.
  • Offline — this Mac has no network connection. trackmyprop retries every few seconds and reconnects as soon as the network or the broker comes back.
  • Waiting — the group is on but has not started yet. Check that every account is connected.
  • Needs setup — something in the group's setup prevents it from starting, such as a missing follower or connection. Open the group to see why.
  • Stopped — the group is on, but its copier is not running. Existing positions and orders stay at the broker and are not managed. Open the group to see why before relying on it.
  • Error — the group cannot copy. The reason is shown in its Canvas. A cTrader group whose restart fails the same way three times in a row goes to Error and sends one alert naming the copied positions nothing is managing.
  • Drift — the group is running, but follower positions no longer match what the copier expects. Compare the accounts at the broker.
  • Review required — copying is paused until you review the accounts. This follows an order result the copier could not confirm, a missed master entry, or a position mismatch. See Missed entries and Tradovate recovery and manual review.
  • Paused (on cards and in the menu bar) or Idle (in the Canvas header) — you turned the group off. Nothing is copied or managed.

A group set to copy that has not been Running for more than 30 seconds needs attention: the Health summary at the top of Trade Copier reads Bad, and its tooltip explains why.

When you open trackmyprop

Only Running copies new trades. trackmyprop never places a master trade late: a trade opened while trackmyprop was closed, while the Mac slept, or before a group reached Running is not copied, at any age. A live master trade that reaches trackmyprop more than 30 seconds after it filled is not copied either. Each one is recorded and you are notified.

PlatformTrades opened while trackmyprop was closedTrades opened before the group showed RunningWhat you see
Tradovate and NinjaTraderNot copied. A master exit missed during the outage is still copied for up to 10 minutes, and only up to the size the copier opened on each follower. Not copied, same rule. One notification per master order and a row in Missed entries. Each affected follower copies only exits on that contract until you review it. If the outage crossed the 17:00 Chicago session open, Tradovate cannot list earlier fills, so you see a gap warning.
cTraderNot copied. If a follower already received that master order live (a copied pending order or market entry), it keeps it and nothing more is sent. Exits up to 10 minutes old are copied; older ones are not sent and stay for you to close. Not copied, same rule. One notification for the whole check: "Master trades placed while copying was off were not copied". Each follower that missed an entry gets a Missed entries row.
Rithmic Test and dxFeedNo fill from the gap is copied, entries or exits. Not copied, same rule. One notification lists the fills. The group stops until you review positions, return the accounts to flat, and confirm live copying again.
TradeLocker, DXtrade and Match-TraderNot copied. Later fills on that master position (scale-ins and closes) are not copied either. Closes of positions the copier opened earlier are still copied. Not copied, same rule.A warning names the symbol, side, size and time. On Match-Trader, a scale-in first seen more than 30 seconds after the previous check (after a network outage or sleep) is not copied.

Saving a copier setting that changes something restarts the group for about 2 seconds, and a master trade placed in that moment is not copied. A save that changes nothing does not restart the group.

After you open trackmyprop, check the broker for every trade the master placed before the group showed Running, and manage those trades yourself. trackmyprop does not open them for you.

cTrader groups can opt in to Already-open positions in their copy rules. That copies only master positions that were already open when you confirmed live copying for the group, or when that follower was added. It never copies a position opened after that, including one opened while the group was off or trackmyprop was closed, and never one whose entry was recorded as not copied.

If trackmyprop cannot read the cTrader master's trade history after a restart (for example while cTrader rate-limits), copying continues and the check retries, from 15 seconds up to every 5 minutes. The group shows "Could not check leader trades placed while copying was off" with the reason. You get a warning on the first delay, an error after 15 minutes, and a summary of copied and not-copied trades when the check completes.

To keep copying with the window closed, turn on Keep copying in the menu bar. See Notifications and the menu bar.

Before you create a group

  • Connect the master Account on a supported copier platform.
  • Connect every follower Account.
  • Make sure each Account is enabled and healthy.
  • For cTrader or Match-Trader, decide which one master symbol this group will copy.

cTrader and Match-Trader groups require one symbol from the master Account's current broker catalog. You do not type it manually. If you need to copy another symbol, create another group.

Tradovate, NinjaTrader Brokerage, and Rithmic Test groups start with All symbols and do not require a symbol selection during setup. Review this scope and the group's copy rules before enabling it.

Keep regular groups first

Hover over a copier group and select the star beside its on/off switch. Starred groups appear first in both grid and list views, and their stars stay visible. Select the star again to remove it. You can also reach the star with Tab and activate it with Enter or Space.

Stars are saved with your preferences and remain after restarting trackmyprop. Starring changes the display order only; it does not enable, pause, or change copying.

View your copier groups

Trade Copier opens in Grid view, where every copier group appears in a compact horizontal gallery. Scroll sideways or drag the slim scroll track beneath the cards to see more groups. Each card names the group, shows one platform mark for the master and every follower, and summarizes the group health, follower count, and symbol scope.

The trailing dashed card creates a new copier group. It opens a draft Copier Canvas instead of a setup modal.

Choose the List icon beside the page summary for a compact full-width view. Each single-line row keeps the group name, health, follower count, symbol, and pause switch visible. Choose the Grid icon to return to the visual cards.

Use the switch at the right of a card title to pause or enable that copier group. Pausing blocks new copying and also stops automatic closes and protection for trades the group already copied; open positions and orders stay at the broker, so review that exposure before assuming the accounts are flat. Turning a live cTrader group off asks you to confirm first; to block new trades but keep managing open ones, choose Manage existing in the master's Management setting instead. Select anywhere else on a card or row to open that group's Copier Canvas.

The summary above the groups shows Daily P&L, Open P&L, Total balance and Health. Daily P&L comes from each account's synced trades, net of fees, for its trading session (for example Session: CME). It is marked Partial with "N of M accounts have a synced result" until every copier account has one, and it shows "as of" the oldest sync it counts, with the date when that sync was not today. An account without a synced result is never counted as zero.

When a group set to copy is not copying, a banner appears at the top of every screen except Trade Copier, with Open copier (or Open group when it names one group). It stays visible while the page scrolls. On the copier page, an open Canvas shows the same notice for other groups.

Logs stays open below the group gallery so recent copy results remain visible while you monitor the copier. It shows the newest 15 results first, with result tabs and a group filter in the header and page controls below the table for older results. The Failed tab lists only failures that are still unresolved.

Logs update as copies happen, without leaving the page. A market entry shows the master's fill price once the master order fills. Stop loss and take profit changes appear as SL/TP rows whose Price shows the master's new levels, for example SL 1.11800 · TP 1.12400, or Cleared when the master removed them. Each account in a row leads with its platform's logo.

Work in Copier Canvas

Copier Canvas is the spatial workspace for one copier group. It lays out the master and followers as connected Account nodes. The master is marked Active while the group is running, and an available follower is marked Connected. The topology always comes from the copier group; moving a node saves only that group's visual arrangement.

The Canvas header shows the group status, any error from the broker or the copier, why live copying is unavailable when it is, and "Not copying since …" in your app time zone while the group is not copying. Its … menu holds Copy speed and the group's other actions.

When a saved group has no followers, a dashed destination placeholder remains connected to the master. Select it to add a same-platform follower.

Drag blank space to pan, use the wheel to pan, and pinch or hold Command while scrolling to zoom around the pointer. The toolbar also zooms or fits the full topology. Drag Account nodes to place them; choose Reset layout to return every node to automatic placement.

Select an Account node to open its inspector without leaving the Canvas. Overview lists the group total and every Account with its latest balance, current-day Account P&L, and open P&L. A dash means the value is unavailable or that Account has no open position; totals are not combined when currencies differ or a required value is unavailable. Balance and open P&L use the broker's latest reading, while current-day P&L comes from that Account's journal history.

Master Accounts provide Overview, Copy rules, and Settings. Follower Accounts provide Overview, Sizing, Symbols, and Safety. Settings and safety reviews stay inside the right-side inspector so the topology remains visible. Copy rules show only what the platform supports: follower protection and pending entries for Tradovate and NinjaTrader, and the full set for cTrader.

The master Account is fixed when the group is created. Master settings change copy policy and protection; they do not replace the source Account. Master replacement is not supported.

Create a copier group

  1. Open Trade Copier, then select the trailing New copier group entry.
  2. In the draft Canvas, choose a master Account from the Connection-grouped picker. Accounts that are unavailable cannot be selected.
  3. For Tradovate, NinjaTrader Brokerage, or Rithmic Test, selecting the master saves a disabled, stopped group with All symbols. For cTrader or Match-Trader, choose exactly one symbol from that Account's broker catalog to save a disabled, stopped group with that symbol.
  4. Select the dashed Add follower account placeholder.
  5. Choose another Account from the same platform family. Tradovate, NinjaTrader Brokerage, and Rithmic Test followers are added directly. For cTrader or Match-Trader, choose the corresponding target symbol from that follower's broker catalog. The picker excludes the master and followers already in the group.
  6. Repeat from the dashed placeholder to add more followers, then review each follower's sizing, symbols, and safety settings.
  7. Review the platform's safety checks and enable the group only when the Account and symbol routes are correct. Platforms awaiting provider approval or certification remain unavailable for live enabling.

Accounts from other platform families do not appear as follower choices. A Tradovate master can use a NinjaTrader Brokerage follower connected through Tradovate, and vice versa. If you selected the wrong master, delete the still-disabled group and create another; the master cannot be changed in place.

Rithmic Test copying

Rithmic copying is available only on Rithmic Test, the development simulator. Rithmic Paper Trading, including prop-firm evaluation accounts, is a separate system and remains unavailable pending provider approval. Live-money systems are also unavailable. A passed read-only implementation check does not grant Paper Trading order-routing approval.

Connect two separate Test Accounts, create a Rithmic group, and add the follower. New groups start disabled, with matching contract quantities (1×) and All symbols. Every Account must be flat before copying starts. Fractional contract multipliers are unsupported; this first interface keeps followers at 1×.

Set a whole-contract Maximum per trade in the master Settings before enabling the group if you need a cap. The cap applies to the total size of one master order. When a copy would exceed any follower's effective maximum, the whole copy is skipped ("a copier size cap would have cut this copy short") and the group pauses for review. The copier does not shrink an order to fit a cap.

The copier responds to new master fills, submitting market orders with day duration on the same futures contract. Filled exits reduce the associated copied position. It does not copy already-open positions, place pending entry orders ahead of their fills, mirror pending-order changes, or copy stop-loss, take-profit, bracket, or OCO orders. Automatic follower protection and symbol remapping are unavailable. Manage protective orders in Rithmic itself.

After a disconnect, the copier checks broker positions and the fills it missed before it continues. A fill that did not reach trackmyprop live is never copied (see When you open trackmyprop). A delayed fill, a rejected or skipped copy, a position mismatch, or an uncertain order result pauses copying for review. Do not assume an order failed because a response was lost.

When review is required, check every Account in Rithmic and return the master and followers to flat before turning the group on again. Test validation does not establish that a prop firm's Paper Trading login is approved.

If Rithmic refuses a login, the connection is marked for reconnect and the group waits instead of retrying. Live copying uses two Rithmic logins per connection.

Journal sync is separate from copying. Rithmic Test supplies current-session executions but no prior-session fill archive. Journal P&L is before fees because this feed does not supply commission; fees remain unavailable until a separate fee source is provided.

Tune follower risk

Use follower-level controls to keep copying intentional:

  • Sizing - choose a direct lot multiplier, cTrader Balance proportional, Reference balance, or a fixed target for every copied order, plus the follower's default contract policy.
  • Risk scale - scale the result from the selected sizing basis. 1× keeps its natural size.
  • Max order size - cap how large a copied order can be.
  • Symbols - for cTrader and Match-Trader, review the group's master symbol and the exact target selected from this follower's broker catalog.
  • Enabled toggle - keep a follower in the group but stop copying to it.

A multiplier above 1 increases the leader size, so trackmyprop requires an absolute Max order size. You can set the cap for the symbol, the follower, or the whole group. Saving is blocked if an amplified follower or symbol has no effective cap, and a cap cannot be removed while it is the only protection for an amplified setting.

Partial fills of one master order are sized together for each follower. For example, at 0.5× a 3-lot order filled 1 + 1 + 1 copies 1 lot, not 0. Caps apply once per master order. When trackmyprop refuses a follower's share of a master order (for example a stale fill, a review pause, a risk check that is unavailable, a closed trading window, or missing balance, currency or contract data), later fills of the same order never make it up; each copies only its own part.

While a group is copying live, saving a copier setting asks first: "Saving restarts copying for about 2 seconds. A trade the master places in that moment is not copied." Choose Save changes to continue. Cancelling restores the saved value. A save that races another settings change asks you to review again.

Select a cTrader follower in the Canvas, then open Sizing to use Balance proportional. New entries use:

master lots × follower balance ÷ master balance × risk scale × symbol contract ratio (when Contract aligned applies)

For example, a 50,000 USD follower copying a 100,000 USD master at 0.8× starts with 40% of the master size before symbol contract alignment and caps. The inspector asks the copier to calculate the current balance ratio and effective multiplier from a short-lived cTrader reading. It does not recalculate from balances displayed in the interface, and it tells an unavailable balance apart from an unavailable or mismatched currency.

Balance-proportional sizing always requires a follower or group maximum. It is available only when cTrader reports the same deposit currency for the master and follower; trackmyprop compares the currency names each broker account reports. If either currency or positive balance is unavailable, or the currencies differ, that follower's new entry is skipped with the reason shown; other followers are copied normally and the group keeps running. That entry is not copied later. A later cTrader account update refreshes the group before it accepts more exposure.

The cTrader Sizing inspector also includes a Broker preview. Enter an example master size to see the final follower lots after account sizing, contract alignment, symbol and copier caps, and the follower broker's current minimum, maximum, and volume-step rules. The summary marks the route ready, adjusted, restricted, or blocked. Choose Refresh broker data when you want a new reading. The preview never sends an order, and a temporarily unavailable calculator does not prevent valid settings from being saved; live copying checks the current settings and broker facts again before sending.

Choose Reference balance when you want to compare the follower's live balance with a saved master reference instead of the master's live balance. New entries use:

master lots × follower balance ÷ master reference balance × risk scale × symbol contract ratio (when Contract aligned applies)

For example, a 25,000 USD follower with a 100,000 USD master reference at 0.8× starts with 20% of the master size before symbol contract alignment and caps. The live master balance and its currency are deliberately ignored, so its deposits, withdrawals, and P&L do not change this ratio. Both the follower balance and master reference must be positive, and Reference balance always requires a follower or group maximum. If either required value is unavailable or invalid, trackmyprop skips that follower's new entry instead of guessing.

When you save Reference balance, trackmyprop binds the entered reference to the follower's cTrader deposit currency. A 100,000 USD reference is not equivalent to 100,000 EUR, and trackmyprop does not convert account currencies. If an older setting has no currency binding, or cTrader later reports a different follower currency, new and increasing exposure stays blocked until you review and save the reference again. Reference balance preserves a transparent balance ratio and, when enabled, nominal contract exposure; it does not guarantee equal cash risk across currencies or symbols.

Balance-based sizing applies to new entries and increases. A symbol set to Fixed lots overrides either follower balance mode and intentionally ignores its balance ratio, risk scale, contract ratio, and currency requirement. Lot multiplier and follower-level Fixed lots also remain available when a balance currency cannot be confirmed. Cancellations, protection changes, partial reductions, and full closes continue from the quantity trackmyprop actually copied, so a currency problem or later balance or reference change cannot prevent risk reduction or enlarge a close.

For a cTrader follower, choose Fixed lots when every distinct master order should open one chosen follower target. A 0.25 target makes a new 2-lot master order and a new 10-lot master order each target 0.25 follower lots. Partial fills from the same master order share that single target; a separate scale-in order gets its own target. Symbol-specific fixed lots take priority over the follower target. Fixed lots per symbol are available on cTrader groups only.

Follower fixed lots ignore the master size, risk scale, balance ratio, and contract ratio. Symbol, follower, and group maximums still apply, and the target is normalized to the follower broker's live maximum and volume step before it is saved. A target below the broker minimum is blocked unless that symbol explicitly uses Raise to minimum; a copier maximum can never be overridden by that raise. The saved risk scale and contract policy are paused rather than erased, so they return if you switch sizing modes later.

Changing a fixed target affects future master orders only. A pending-order price edit or size increase keeps the target captured when that pending order was first copied; a reduction remains proportional to its latest master size. Partial and full closes always use the quantity trackmyprop actually copied. If cTrader reports a fill without a stable order identity, trackmyprop skips a fixed-lot scale-in rather than applying the full target to each partial fill.

New cTrader followers use Contract aligned as their default. This preserves nominal contract exposure when two brokers define one lot differently. You can choose Same lots instead, but trackmyprop requires an explicit exposure acknowledgement because the same lot count can be materially larger or smaller at the follower broker.

Followers created before this setting existed show Legacy sizing — review required. Their unreviewed default routes block new entries and pending-order increases until you choose one of the reviewed defaults, while reviewed symbol-specific rules, closes, cancellations, decreases, and protective management remain available.

Multiplier edits apply to future sizing. If a leader order is already copied, later partial reductions stay proportional to the follower quantity that was actually copied, even after you change the multiplier or restart trackmyprop.

cTrader copy rules

cTrader groups can also tune what gets copied:

  • Buy entries
  • Sell entries
  • Pending entries
  • Stop loss
  • Take profit
  • Already-open positions
  • Label or comment filters
  • Minimum and maximum master trade size
  • Maximum entry deviation for market entries
  • Recurring weekly trading hours

Select the master, then open Settings to edit the group name, group maximum per follower trade, and source label/comment filters. The one master symbol is shown but cannot be replaced. Saving keeps every unrelated copy rule, follower sizing mode, and symbol route unchanged.

Positions and pending orders already copied remain managed; closes and reductions continue from the copied quantity. The group maximum is applied after the active follower or symbol maximum; a symbol maximum replaces that follower's account maximum. Followers with a lower individual maximum keep that tighter cap. Trades and closes on a symbol the group excludes are skipped quietly, with no alert and no retries.

Choose what the cTrader group should do

Every live cTrader group has three explicit states:

  • Active copies new entries and increases and continues managing trades already copied.
  • Manage existing keeps the cTrader connection and recovery running, but blocks every new entry, scale-in, pending-entry create or increase, and already-open-position copy. Full and partial closes, pending-order cancellations and decreases, stop-loss/take-profit changes, trailing stops, and recovery of copied trades continue.
  • Stopped ends both copying and automatic management. Existing broker positions and pending orders stay open, but trackmyprop no longer closes, reduces, cancels, protects, or recovers them.

If you change a group and then stop or pause it right away, the change is not applied and tells you so, for example "Not applied: a stop was requested right after this change."

Use Manage existing when you want to wind down a live copier without abandoning its open trades. trackmyprop reads the saved group state again immediately before any request that adds exposure, so a state change also blocks an entry that was already being prepared.

Stopped is a strict boundary: a management request already on its way to cTrader finishes, then every later automatic close, cancel, reduction, protection, or recovery request is refused before the change is confirmed. Returning to Active reruns the live contract review when required. A stop or pause always takes effect at once, even while a slow settings change is being checked.

Set recurring cTrader trading hours

Open Copy rules, choose Trading hours, and add one or more windows to any weekday. Each group keeps its own IANA timezone, so a schedule such as America/New_York follows that location's daylight-saving changes automatically. Windows include their start time and exclude their end time: a 09:00–17:00 window accepts an event at 09:00 but is closed at 17:00. An end time earlier than the start continues overnight. Use 00:00–00:00 for an all-day window; other matching times are invalid. Separate windows may touch but cannot overlap.

When trading hours are on, trackmyprop blocks new market entries, scale-ins, pending-entry creation or increases, and already-open-position copies outside the saved windows. It continues full and partial closes, pending-order cancellations and decreases, stop-loss/take-profit changes, trailing stops, and recovery for trades it already copied. A pending order that the follower broker already accepted can still activate outside the window because the broker owns that working order; turn off or cancel pending entries before the window closes when that behavior is not wanted.

The copier needs a valid cTrader event time and checks the current saved schedule again immediately before each request that adds exposure. An entry or increase with a missing or malformed broker time is skipped; reductions and other management remain available. An outside-hours decision is saved as a final skipped result, so restarting trackmyprop after the window reopens does not copy the missed entry. If an enabled schedule cannot be read, new entries stay blocked until you save it again, while management of existing trades continues.

For Stop loss and Take profit, open Copy rules and choose one mode per side:

  • Mirror master preserves the master's protection distance around each follower's own entry.
  • Fixed distance always places that follower protection at the configured pip distance, even when the master has no matching SL or TP.
  • Master + buffer preserves the master's distance and adds the configured pips farther from the follower entry. If the master has no level, no level is invented.

Fixed distance and buffer are mutually exclusive for each side. Values accept 0.1–10,000 pips. The setting applies to new market entries, pending entries and edits, already-open positions copied on startup, and later position-protection changes. Turning SL or TP copying off pauses that side but keeps its saved mode. Fixed protection remains fixed when the master clears its level; a buffered level clears with the master.

trackmyprop converts pips with each mapped follower symbol's live pip size from cTrader. If cTrader does not provide it, the follower action is blocked before sending instead of guessing. "Nothing to amend" from cTrader counts as success. A stop-loss or take-profit copy that keeps failing stops after 5 attempts or 10 minutes, with one notification asking you to check the follower position's stop loss and take profit. Stop-loss and take-profit changes are not sent to a follower the copier is closing.

Limit cTrader master trade size

Set Master trade size from the master's Copy rules. Minimum and maximum are optional, inclusive, and entered in lots. For example, 0.25 to 2 copies a 0.25-lot or 2-lot master entry, but skips 0.24 lots and 2.01 lots.

The range applies only when adding exposure: new market entries, opening pending orders, increases to an already-copied position, and already-open master positions copied when the group starts. It never blocks a close, reduction, pending-order cancellation, or protection update for a trade that was already copied.

When cTrader splits one master order into partial fills, trackmyprop checks the original total order size against the range and sizes each follower action from the actual partial fill. This keeps every fill from one order under the same decision. Logs records a clear below-minimum or above-maximum skip when a new entry is outside the range.

Limit cTrader market-entry deviation

Set Max entry deviation from the master's Copy rules. Leave it empty to keep the guard off. The value is in pips, and trackmyprop converts it to the mapped follower symbol's own broker precision.

When the guard is on, a plain master market order waits for the master's actual fill before the follower request is built. New follower market entries and increases use that fill as the reference price. If cTrader reports that the follower price moved outside the allowed range, trackmyprop records that follower as skipped and does not retry the same entry as an unrestricted market order. Pending limit and stop entry placement is unchanged.

Use Logs to distinguish this safety skip from a mapping, volume, or trading-access problem. A smaller range limits price drift but can skip more followers in fast markets or when cTrader delivers events late.

Match symbols across cTrader brokers

Two cTrader brokers can publish the same market under different names, such as EURUSD and EURUSD.raw. When you add a follower, choose its exact target from that Account's current broker catalog. Select the follower and open Symbols to review the saved master-to-follower route.

Use All markets beside search to narrow the master catalog by the broker's own market groups, such as Forex, Metals, or Indices. The filter appears only when cTrader supplies market-group names for that account; catalogs without them continue to show every symbol.

  • A tradable identical name matches automatically.
  • If the identical follower name is disabled or close-only but exactly one tradable broker-prefix, suffix, or separator match exists, trackmyprop recommends that usable alternative instead.
  • Every prefix, suffix, or separator match is a suggestion. Confirm it before trackmyprop can use it.
  • If no safe suggestion exists, search the follower catalog and choose the exact symbol manually.
  • A saved mapping applies only to that follower. Another follower can map the same leader symbol differently.
  • Within one follower, each follower symbol can be linked to only one master symbol. This prevents two master markets from silently sharing one broker position.
  • A missing, disabled, or close-only follower symbol stays blocked. trackmyprop does not fall back to a similarly named market.

New cTrader followers default to Contract aligned sizing. A symbol-specific rule still takes priority over the follower default. Before a group is enabled for the first time, trackmyprop loads the current master and follower catalogs. It blocks enabled routes that rely on contract sizing when units-per-lot data is unavailable, plus legacy routes whose contract sizes differ. Disabled routes and fixed-lot rules do not need a contract ratio. In Symbols, choose Contract aligned for the selected route, or choose Same lots explicitly when matching the lot count is intentional.

Contract alignment preserves nominal contract units with:

follower lots = master lots × sizing scale × (master units per lot ÷ follower units per lot)

For example, if one NASDAQ lot is 10 units at the master broker and 100 units at the follower broker, 1.00 × (10 ÷ 100) becomes 0.10 follower lots. Sending the same 1.00 lot count would create 10× the nominal exposure. Balance-proportional sizing applies its balance ratio before the same contract ratio.

The live review covers the broker catalogs at that moment. The saved route continues to block new entries if its contract data is unavailable. If a broker adds, renames, or changes a symbol later, turn the group off, correct the follower route, and enable it again to review the current catalogs before copying resumes.

Choose Fixed lots on an individual symbol to replace the follower's default sizing for that market. The symbol target wins over a follower-level fixed target. Symbol, follower, and group caps still apply, and cTrader still normalizes the chosen size to the follower broker's live volume limits and step. Contract-aligned copying never falls back to same-lot sizing: if cTrader cannot provide a usable live contract size, that follower and symbol stay blocked instead of being guessed.

During long cTrader sessions, trackmyprop treats symbol details as broker facts and refreshes them in place: follower trading details, contract sizes and balances for balance-sized groups refresh without restarting the session. If a contract ratio cannot be loaded for a route, new entries for that follower and symbol are skipped rather than falling back to same lots. Closes and protection updates continue from what the copier saved, and pending-order decreases use the quantities already copied, so a temporary catalog problem does not prevent risk from being reduced.

cTrader account permissions are refreshed the same way. When cTrader reports that a trader account changed, trackmyprop checks that exact account again before its next new entry. Balance-sized groups also make sure each order uses the account details their ratio was calculated from, so an update that arrives beside a master fill is applied first. Close-only, no-trading, unknown, or temporarily unavailable permission data blocks new entries, but it does not prevent trackmyprop from managing and reducing positions it already copied.

When the follower symbol's maximum volume caps a copy, trackmyprop records the shortfall as a skip with the size-cap reason. It never opens a second follower position to make up the difference.

Below-minimum entries are skipped by default. Turn on Raise to minimum for a customized symbol only when you accept the additional follower exposure. trackmyprop then raises an undersized market entry, pending entry, or pending-size change to that follower symbol's exact live broker minimum. The preview shows the resulting lot size and exposure difference before saving. This setting never overrides a symbol, follower, or group maximum; if a cap is below the broker minimum, the entry remains blocked. It also remains blocked when cTrader does not provide usable minimum-volume data.

Use Preview master size before saving to see what a sample master trade becomes on that follower. The copier calculates every row with the same sizing and cTrader volume checks used by live copying; the interface does not recalculate from displayed balances or contract data. The preview uses only the example size and the unsaved sizing settings you entered, together with a short-lived reading of balances, currencies, account mode and access, contract sizes, and broker volume limits.

Each row shows the final follower lots after account balance sizing, symbol conversion, follower and group caps, and the broker's minimum, maximum, and volume-step rounding. Adjusted highlights a balance ratio, cap, broker-minimum raise, rounding, or an unintended same-lot contract-exposure difference; an intentional fixed-size exposure difference stays Ready and is shown for context.

Buy only identifies a follower symbol that rejects sell entries; Blocked explains the exact mapping, account balance, currency, account mode, access, contract, fixed-size, minimum-volume, or cap conflict. Lot fields accept 0.01-lot increments.

The Symbols inspector labels when its broker data was read. A reading expires after about one minute so an old preview cannot present itself as current; choose Refresh broker data to load fresh Account and symbol facts. Editing remains available while a preview is checking or unavailable, and saving a valid mapping does not depend on the calculator response. The preview is read-only and never sends an order. Live copying checks the latest copier and broker state again before sending, so the preview is a calculation, not a fill guarantee.

Fixed lots controls new entries, not close ownership. Partial and full closes remain proportional to the follower quantity trackmyprop actually copied, so changing the fixed size later does not make an existing position close too much.

The Symbols inspector also shows when cTrader reports that the master or follower Account cannot open trades. An identical name is not proof that the broker lets that market trade. When there is one unambiguous tradable alternative, such as EURUSD.x, #EURUSD, or ecnEURUSD for an unavailable EURUSD, the inspector surfaces it as a confirmation-required suggestion.

If several alternatives match, trackmyprop does not guess. Numeric lookalikes such as US100 and US1000, and different aliases such as GOLD and XAUUSD, are never inferred; choose the exact follower symbol from the catalog. A symbol mapping cannot bypass close-only, read-only, disabled trading access, or a broker-disabled symbol.

For pending orders and later pending-order changes, trackmyprop formats the copied limit, stop, stop-loss, and take-profit prices to the follower symbol's live broker precision. With Mirror master, market entries keep the leader's SL/TP distance and let cTrader apply that distance from the follower fill price.

Later position SL/TP and trailing-stop changes keep the distance from the master's average entry price, rebuild the level around each follower's own average entry, and then format it to that follower broker's precision. Fixed and buffered modes adjust that follower distance after translation. If cTrader does not provide a safe entry price, the pip precision the selected mode needs, or a matching position side, trackmyprop skips the change instead of guessing a price.

When a follower broker publishes point-based minimum SL or TP distances, Symbols shows those limits beside the follower symbol in pips. trackmyprop checks relative protection on new market entries against those follower-specific minimums before sending the order. A too-close protection blocks that follower entry instead of sending an order with weakened or missing protection.

If the broker omits the limits or uses cTrader's percentage-based distance mode, cTrader remains the authority, because cTrader does not publish enough detail for trackmyprop to calculate it safely. Absolute pending-order and later position-protection checks also remain with the broker because their minimum is measured from the current market price.

Diagnose a missed follower trade

Select the chevron at the far right of a Logs row to see the result for every follower, including per-account flatten outcomes. Each follower result shows the broker's own words on a Broker: line, including skipped copies, and offers one fix where it applies: Manage symbols (cTrader), Reconnect, or Review missed entry. Close, SL/TP-clear and flatten rows offer none.

When some followers of a master trade are skipped or fail, the notification reads, for example, "Partly copied EURUSD buy ×0.01 — 1 of 2 followers skipped" (a warning), and each skipped follower shows its real reason, such as below minimum, symbol disabled, or balance or currency data not loaded yet. A follower whose attempts were all skipped shows skipped, not failed. Notifications show sizes in the unit you trade: lots for cTrader, TradeLocker and Match-Trader, units for DXtrade, contracts for futures.

For a copied cTrader entry, the expanded row shows the follower lot target, the lot size actually sent after the broker's maximum and volume-step rules, and the follower symbol. A Partial row can mean cTrader reduced an otherwise successful order, not only that a follower failed or was skipped. Order edits read, for example, "Updated EURUSD sell order" and show the order's real side.

trackmyprop translates cTrader outcomes into plain English: a missing mapping, disabled trading, invalid volume, a master trade outside the saved lot range, maximum entry deviation, an invalid price or protection distance, minimum size, an interrupted send, and an order the broker no longer has. For a current cTrader follower with a symbol, sizing, price, or trading-access problem, open that follower's Symbols inspector. A removed follower remains visible by broker account number so its historical failure is not hidden, but it cannot be edited.

After a cTrader group starts or reconnects, wait for its status to change from Starting to Running before relying on copying; trades placed before that are covered in When you open trackmyprop. trackmyprop checks the positions and orders it copied before it accepts new trades. An All symbols group does not download every broker symbol first; trackmyprop looks up each traded symbol when it is needed.

A master trade that arrives while that check is still running is handled at the next safe point, not after all remaining startup work. Live trades can also be copied while the check waits for cTrader's history; the check resumes afterward and never copies a trade twice. In Logs details, signal delivery, local queue time, symbol lookup, and follower broker execution are shown separately, so a broker delay is not confused with startup work. Trailing-stop history keeps at most one successful update per position every 5 seconds; failed updates are always recorded.

Close results and alerts

trackmyprop sends one alert per close incident, after it knows the outcome:

  • A close that the broker first refuses but a retry then completes reads Closed on retry (green) in Logs, with the retry delay in its details and the retry inside the same row. Its alert reads, for example, "Closed EURUSD sell ×5 — on retry". After an app restart, the delay is counted from the restart.
  • A follower found already closed (closed by hand, or flattened while the retry waited) reads Already closed, and its alert says trackmyprop checked again and found the follower position closed.
  • A failed close sends an error alert, for example "Close failed — EURUSD sell ×5: follower still open", if no retry settles it within 5 seconds. If the follower is still open after 10 minutes, one more alert asks you to close it manually.
  • A partial close whose follower position cannot be read in time does not alert at once. The retry decides: "follower reduced on retry", "found already closed", a "Skipped close of …" warning when the size is below the minimum (the size carries to the next partial close), or an error when the retry fails too.
  • A broker refusal code is explained in plain words, and the alert names the position's side. Alerts for closes checked at startup name the symbol and master position, for example "Close failed — EURUSD position 7001: follower still open".
  • If a stalled partial close's retry is stopped (for example you turn the group off) while the follower is still open, the alert reads "Partial close not applied — EURUSD sell ×1". The follower position stays open, as the master's does; this close has not reduced it yet.
  • When the copier connection drops, or the copier restarts for a session renewal or a group change, a failing follower close gets one last retry before the restart. If it closes the follower, the next start confirms it and reports Closed on retry; if it fails, its error alert goes out then. Quitting the app or stopping a group does not run this last retry.

The copier also alerts you when a group stops copying:

  • "Gold NY is not copying — reconnecting" (with your group's name) goes out once per outage, 30 seconds after copying stopped or after 3 failed attempts in a row. It says that exits and SL/TP changes are not copied either. A group in Manage existing gets "… is not managing copied trades — reconnecting". Copying resumed follows when it recovers.
  • A group that drops 3 times in 5 minutes gets one "… keeps disconnecting — copying is unstable" warning.
  • "… needs attention — copying cannot restart" names the open copied positions nothing is managing.
  • Saving group settings restarts the copier at once and never alerts by itself.

These alerts appear in the notifications panel, and as macOS notifications while trackmyprop is in the background. See Notifications and the menu bar.

Missed entries

When the copier does not copy a master trade (see When you open trackmyprop), it records it in three places: a Missed entries card on the Trade Copier page, a notice on the group's Canvas, and a review dialog opened with Review. Groups you deleted no longer appear.

Each row shows the symbol, side, size, time, follower, whether it was an entry or an exit, and why it was not copied, for example "trackmyprop was closed", "the master was reconnecting", "the group was restarting after a settings change", or "the broker sent the fill more than 30 seconds late".

A follower that missed an entry copies only exits on that contract. Each exit closes at most what the copier opened and what the follower still holds, so the follower is never reversed, even if you closed or changed the position by hand. The group shows Review required, and the Health summary reads Bad, until you resolve every missed entry.

  • Mark reviewed clears an entry after you checked the accounts at the broker. On Tradovate and NinjaTrader it is refused while the master still holds the contract; the card explains why and the follower stays limited to exits.
  • Flatten follower (Tradovate, NinjaTrader and cTrader) sends a real reduce-only order that closes only what the copier opened on that follower for that contract, while the group is copying. The master's position is not changed. On Tradovate and NinjaTrader the entry resolves once the master is flat. If Tradovate does not confirm the close, copying pauses for review and nothing is resent.
  • If copying is off, close the follower's position at the broker yourself. New entries on that contract stay paused until the master is flat and the entry is marked reviewed.

A master entry within about 5 seconds after Mark reviewed is not copied: the follower is paused again and you are told. A master trade made while the review was being saved also pauses the follower again.

Copy speed and open P&L

Open the group Canvas … menu and choose Copy speed to see how fast the group copies, measured on this device from the master fill reaching trackmyprop to the last follower order being sent. The dialog shows the median, 95th and 99th percentile, and how many live entries were measured.

Recent copy events break each copy into stages. Follower total covers the complete follower action. Request round trip covers the follower request from trackmyprop until the broker responds. Local queue, symbol lookup, volume sizing, and other local work are shown separately.

Tradovate live updates measure local queue time from the moment the update reaches trackmyprop, before it waits behind an earlier copy. The broker request phase includes any sign-in renewal needed before Tradovate responds. A broker event time comes from the broker's clock, not this Mac's, so it is never shown as exact network latency. Slowest measured uses only timings from the same clock.

For followers under the same Tradovate connection, trackmyprop checks every account first and then sends the prepared orders together. One slow follower does not force every later account to wait for its round trip. The batch still respects Tradovate's shared rate limit, and an uncertain order is never resent just because another account succeeded.

The sidebar footer shows Open P&L directly above Add, feedback, and notifications. It combines supported open positions into one amount and shows how many active copier groups and Accounts contribute to it. It includes cTrader and Tradovate-powered Accounts, including NinjaTrader Brokerage Accounts connected through the Tradovate flow. Open TradeLocker, DXtrade, and dxFeed positions are not included yet. Open Trade Copier for the individual group and Account details.

On macOS the same amount and your copier groups also appear in the menu bar. See Notifications and the menu bar.

Open P&L uses the broker's own P&L readings, not a tick-by-tick market calculation. While positions are open, trackmyprop asks cTrader for its P&L about every 2.5 seconds and refreshes Tradovate-powered P&L about every 5 seconds. The interface can redraw more often than the broker value changes. If a broker value is still pending, delayed, or unavailable, the indicator shows -- instead of presenting a confident zero.

Enable live copying

Enabling a group sends real broker actions. New groups are stopped and disabled, so creating the Canvas or adding followers cannot place an order by itself.

Before enabling a cTrader group:

  1. Confirm that the master and every follower use the same cTrader environment: all live Accounts or all demo Accounts.
  2. Confirm the one master symbol and every follower's exact target symbol in the Account inspectors.
  3. Confirm that every Account is Hedged. Netted and spread-betting modes are not supported for copying. If a mode cannot be confirmed, check it in cTrader, then select Sync now in Connections or reconnect cTrader.
  4. Review sizing, maximums, copy rules, protection, follower locks, and any open broker exposure.
  5. Turn the group on and wait for trackmyprop to load the current broker catalogs. Resolve every blocked contract route or save an explicit same-lot choice only when that exposure is intentional.
  6. Review the listed Accounts and routes, then select Enable live.

trackmyprop requires this explicit confirmation before an unarmed group can copy real orders. On other platforms, turning on a group that isn't confirmed for live copying asks you to confirm Start live copying before any real order can be placed. That's the first time you turn it on, and again after a Rithmic review or a workspace restore; otherwise the switch turns the group on and off directly. A platform that is not certified for live copying stays unavailable for new exposure.

Disabling a follower blocks new entries and increases for that follower. It does not abandon copied positions: close, cancel, stop-loss, take-profit, and recovery management may continue while exposure remains.

If cTrader later reports the leader or a follower as Netted, spread betting, or unconfirmed, trackmyprop blocks new entries and increases for the affected group or route. The copier keeps managing closes, cancellations, protection updates, and recovery for positions it copied. Return every account to Hedged, then select Sync now before new live exposure can resume.

If cTrader rejects the saved sign-in (an expired or revoked authorization), the group stops with "authentication expired or rejected … reconnect cTrader" and waits for you to reconnect cTrader instead of retrying. A cTrader copier connection that goes silent, is signed out, or is closed by cTrader ends straight away and reconnects with the current sign-in, then runs the normal startup check.

Tradovate master stop-loss and profit-target fills from an ATM strategy are copied to followers as market exits. When trackmyprop cannot confirm whether a Tradovate master trade opened or closed a position, it skips and reports that trade instead of stopping the copier. If followers hold copied positions on that symbol, future copies pause for review.

If a follower is removed, disabled, or risk-locked after a copied entry was rejected with zero broker exposure, the restart check retires only that follower's unsent remainder. It does not hold the other followers offline, and re-enabling the follower does not open the old missed trade later. Any quantity that was already copied remains under normal close and protection management.

Reconnecting a Tradovate login stops every copier group that uses it together. The groups restart on the new session only after all of them have stopped.

On Tradovate, one follower that cannot connect no longer blocks the group. Its open positions are reported as not managed, and the group restarts with it once it reconnects. Each master trade it misses meanwhile is recorded as a missed entry, and its exits only close what the copier opened.

TradeLocker, DXtrade and Match-Trader groups pause and turn off for review when a copy may have reached the broker but its result was never saved (for example the app quit mid-send): "A DXtrade EURUSD copy may have reached the broker before its result was saved." They never retry it. A DXtrade net account whose master holds a quantity that is not a whole unit also pauses the group for review. Review the accounts at the broker, then turn the group on again.

Retry and reconciliation behavior

Before sending a copied entry, trackmyprop records the master trade on this Mac. If that record cannot be saved for a moment during a live Tradovate update, trackmyprop keeps the update and tries again; it does not send the follower order until the record is saved.

A broker rejection is recorded as failed. A timeout or lost response is treated as an unknown outcome, never as permission to send again. trackmyprop first checks broker positions and what the copier owns, and sends again only when it can prove another order will not duplicate exposure. Follower results are tracked separately, so a successful follower is not retried because another follower failed.

On Tradovate, only a 423 or 429 that Tradovate actually returns opens the shared one-hour rate-limit window. A lost order response, a timeout, or a connection reset after sending pauses only that copier group for review and is never resent. A connection that fails before anything is sent counts as not sent.

For cTrader, broker replies and local entry checks are classified before any retry. A master trade outside its saved lot range or trading hours, a symbol cTrader reports as disabled, a read-only account, an unavailable symbol, a disallowed short sale, an invalid volume, an exceeded entry deviation, or an invalid order or protection price is recorded as a named skip with zero broker exposure. trackmyprop does not turn that master trade into a generic retry. Fix the group filter, schedule, account access, symbol mapping, sizing, entry deviation, or protection distance before the next master trade.

Partial and full closes are also recorded per follower before they are sent. On restart, trackmyprop checks whether the copied position is still open, already flat, or unclear. An unclear state is held for manual review instead of risking a second close or reversing a position.

After a restart, trackmyprop works through the cTrader master's history in order and moves past a master trade only once every follower's outcome is saved. If a historical close has no copied follower action left, it is recorded as skipped. If a follower's state is unclear, trackmyprop stops at that close and retries it later.

Manual positions are never assumed to belong to the copier. If manual and copied lots are combined in one broker position, ownership can become impossible to prove exactly. In that case the copier and follower protection warn instead of correcting the quantity automatically. Compare the broker account and resolve the mismatch manually.

Emergency flatten

For cTrader groups, Flatten all is an explicit emergency action. Its configured scope can target followers, the leader, or both. It reads each live position again before closing it, so an older saved quantity cannot make the close larger than the remaining broker position. It is reduce-only and reports each account as closed, failed, or skipped; a partial result must be checked in cTrader.

Flatten all also works while a cTrader copier is still starting, when startup fails, and right after a copier connection drops; in those cases it uses fresh connections. A leader-only Flatten all keeps followers that copied the leader's orders detached after a restart: they are not adopted again or force-closed, and a failing close on a detached follower is dropped without an alert.

Tradovate, Rithmic Test, TradeLocker, and dxFeed do not have the same group-level button. Use Flatten follower on a missed entry where it is offered, or pause copying and close the intended positions in the broker app.

Delete a cTrader group

Deleting a cTrader copier group stops copying and all automatic management for that group, then removes its local audit and recovery history. It does not close broker positions or cancel pending broker orders. Review any remaining exposure in cTrader and manage it there before or immediately after deleting the group.

Account risk locks

Native risk limits and native manual lockout now live under Live Connections → Risk Settings. Use Native risk settings to read current broker values, edit personal daily limits where permitted, or request a Tradovate manual lockout on an eligible Account. Native manual lockout closes positions, cancels working orders, and blocks trading at Tradovate across platforms. A lockout made in trackmyprop on a copier follower pauses copies to that account until the lockout ends, with a notification for each copier group.

The copier's Lock copying control pauses a follower inside trackmyprop. It does not lock the Account at the broker. Broker locks, previously saved local risk rules, and timed follower locks can all affect copying, so check which source is active before managing existing positions.

Tradovate follower rows also show a compact safety badge. Broker lock, Follower lock, and Risk rule lock identify the active source; a combined count means more than one source is blocking exposure. Focus or hover the badge to see every source, its saved reason and expiry, and when Tradovate was last checked.

No lock detected means only that the latest read-only check found no recognized broker, follower, or local risk-rule lock—it is not an order guarantee. Status unavailable never means unlocked; reconnect or wait for the next check. Live copying checks again before every order.

Before sending a Tradovate copy, trackmyprop checks its latest broker risk information again. If it is out of date, belongs to an earlier sign-in, or shows a new broker lock while the order is waiting, that order is not sent. Other followers with valid broker risk information can continue. The missed copy is not opened later; check the follower's status before the next master trade.

Followers with saved local risk rules need your trackmyprop sign-in for Tradovate and NinjaTrader. Without it, they refuse new entries with "Risk rails need trackmyprop sign-in"; exits still go out.

To lock a Tradovate follower manually, open its copier group, select the follower, and choose Safety → Lock copying…. Choose 1 hour, 4 hours, or Until a time…. The dialog shows the exact end time in your computer’s timezone. Set a custom time when you want the lock to cover the rest of your trading day; trackmyprop does not guess your broker’s session reset.

The lock stops further trade copies for that follower in trackmyprop. Existing copied working orders can still be changed or cancelled while the copier runs. Closing trades placed on the master will not be copied while locked. Manage open positions at the broker. The lock does not close positions, cancel existing orders, or prevent manual orders at the broker.

The lock expires at the saved time. To end it earlier, choose Unlock copying… and confirm. Trade copying may resume immediately if the group is running; broker locks and other risk rules still apply. Cancelling the unlock leaves the lock in place.

Routine copier risk refreshes pause for locked followers to reduce API use. They resume after the lock expires or is removed; new copies still require current broker risk information. Order management, recovery and other connection activity can still make requests. The broker-risk reading may become unavailable while refreshes are paused, but the follower lock remains in force.

The badge uses recent broker risk information already received while copying. Viewing it makes no extra Tradovate requests and does not change broker settings. Without fresh information, it shows Status unavailable.

When a cTrader risk lock flattens an account, trackmyprop first cancels current entry orders that carry its copier label, then closes open positions. Manual orders and closing protection orders are left alone.

When a saved local daily loss or profit rule trips for a Tradovate Account, trackmyprop blocks new copied sends and tries to close open positions while the app is running. This automatic risk-rule action is separate from Lock copying. It does not cancel existing working entry orders; check the broker app and manage those orders there. A failed close still needs attention at the broker.

Tradovate recovery and manual review

For Tradovate, the copier records the exposure it successfully sent to each follower. Sent exposure is not the same as broker-confirmed filled exposure: an accepted order can still fill partially, fill later, or be rejected after an uncertain connection result.

Position checks always compare that record with the latest broker positions. When Follower protection is enabled, the copier also reviews follower positions shortly after the leader goes flat. If a copied order was accepted and has not been closed or cancelled, its broker order and remaining quantity are shown once, even when the position is zero. A changed order state can be shown again.

That order information is what trackmyprop saved when it sent the order, not a fresh broker status: fills, expiry, rejection, manual cancellation, and manual orders may be missing. The warning names the affected account and broker order IDs and never cancels or changes an order.

Tradovate follower protection is always warning-only. It never places a correction order, because trackmyprop cannot prove a quantity-bounded action that will not reverse or close a manual position. A flat follower with sent exposure still triggers the reminder. The net can be zero even while opposing accepted orders remain working, so zero does not prove the account is safe. The reminders survive a restart.

Tradovate can warn that a user is about to be rate-limited with status 423, then enforce a rolling one-hour lock with status 429. When Tradovate returns either status, trackmyprop stops sending requests for every group whose connection uses the same Tradovate login. It does not probe the API during the window, because another request can restart the broker's lockout timer.

A copied action attempted during that window is refused locally with the remaining wait time instead of being silently queued. Older connections created before trackmyprop stored Tradovate login IDs use a per-connection window until you reconnect that broker account.

Some less-common Tradovate requests return a penalty ticket instead. trackmyprop keeps the newest ticket for that exact request across connections and app restarts, and refuses early retries locally until the broker's wait ends. Queued history reports wait while live trading is busy. A report that is already on its way may finish for up to 10 seconds so trackmyprop cannot miss a 423 or 429 response.

A Tradovate CAPTCHA challenge creates a manual pause. trackmyprop also pauses rather than risk an unsafe retry if it cannot save or retire a penalty ticket on this Mac. Complete the challenge or fix the local storage problem, then reconnect the broker.

A master trade that reaches trackmyprop more than 30 seconds late is not copied; it becomes a missed entry and pauses only the affected followers on that contract. If a copy that already started cannot be sent within 30 seconds of the master fill, the group pauses with Review required. The group stays paused until you review it; reconnecting or restarting trackmyprop does not resume it.

An unconfirmed result from an order placement or quantity increase also triggers Review required immediately. The request may already have taken effect at Tradovate. trackmyprop does not repeat it or wait before pausing new copying.

Choose Review… on the group, then check the master and every follower's positions and working orders in Tradovate. Orders already sent may still complete. The pause does not close positions, cancel broker orders, or block manual trading. Do not rely on closing trades from the master being copied while the group is paused.

While the group remains enabled for review, cancellation and quantity reductions for copied working orders remain available. New placements and quantity increases are blocked. Routine copier risk refreshes also pause; order management, recovery and other connection activity can still make requests.

After resolving any differences at the broker, confirm that you reviewed the accounts and choose Resume future copies. Earlier trades are excluded from copying when you resume; the action does not copy them or correct existing positions. The group returns through Starting before Running. An unresolved order result can still block resumption, even after you confirm the review. Choose Keep paused if the accounts are not ready.

A placement response without a valid broker order ID remains an unknown outcome. trackmyprop does not report that response as a confirmed copy or repeat the order.

In Logs, an affected follower attempt is labeled Unconfirmed and keeps the broker's explanation. It is not counted as copied. The overall event can still show Failed or Partial, so expand the row to check each follower.

A confirmed broker rejection is labeled Rejected with the broker's explanation. It is distinct from an unconfirmed outcome and is not retried.

To check an unconfirmed request, open Review order outcomes inside the group review, or expand its follower attempt in Logs and choose Check broker outcome…. Select the exact account and request, then choose Check broker outcome. Opening the review does not send a broker check automatically.

trackmyprop can verify a fully filled copy of a master fill when the broker's command, order and filled quantity match the saved request. It can also verify an exact command rejection. If verified evidence is available, choose Record verified outcome to check that evidence again and save the result. This updates the record of the copied request; it does not align current positions, undo later manual trades, resend the request or resume copying. Return to the group review, inspect all affected broker accounts, and separately choose Resume future copies when it becomes available.

The original Unconfirmed log entry remains as the record of the first response. Once verified evidence is recorded, that request is removed from the current unresolved list. The group review shows whether other blockers remain.

Missing broker evidence does not prove that a request failed. Partial fills, accepted working orders, accepted order changes and older requests without enough saved information cannot currently be resolved this way. They stay unconfirmed, and copying remains paused. An interrupted or still-pending request also remains blocked. Manually inspecting an account does not clear those unresolved outcomes. If the list is marked partial, more unresolved requests remain beyond those shown.

You can also choose Stop copier in the review to turn off all automatic management for the group. Existing broker positions and orders stay in place, and review remains required. Resume future copies starts a stopped group again after the review and eligibility checks pass.

When you see a gap, position-drift, or follower-protection warning:

  1. Pause or disable live copying for the group.
  2. Open Tradovate and compare the leader position, every follower position, and working orders for each affected symbol.
  3. Resolve any mismatch manually in the broker app. Do not assume the copier will correct it.
  4. Confirm every account is in the intended state before relying on the copier again.
