Trade copier
Copy trades from one master account to follower accounts, and know exactly when copying runs and when it stops.
Trade Copier copies the trades of one master account to one or more follower accounts on the same platform. It places real orders at your broker, so check what a group copies and when it stops before you turn one on.
Prepare your accounts
- Connect the master and every follower in Live Connections. See Add a connection.
- Check that each account is enabled and shows no connection problem.
- Use one platform per group. Tradovate and NinjaTrader accounts can share a group; any other mix cannot, so a cTrader master cannot copy to a Tradovate follower.
- Use one environment per group: the master and every follower are all live accounts or all demo accounts.
- For cTrader or Match-Trader, decide which one master symbol the group copies. To copy another symbol, create another group.
New connections are open for Tradovate and NinjaTrader. Groups on other platforms use connections you already have. Platform notes lists what each platform supports.
Create a copier group
Start a group
Open Trade Copier and select the New copier group card after your groups. With no groups yet, choose Create copier group.
Choose the master
Select Choose master account and pick the account whose trades you want copied. Accounts that cannot copy right now are listed but cannot be selected.
Pick the symbol on cTrader or Match-Trader
Choose the one symbol this group copies from the master's broker symbol list. Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic groups copy All symbols, so there is nothing to pick.
Add followers
Select Add follower account and pick a follower. On cTrader or Match-Trader, also choose the matching symbol at the follower's broker. Repeat for each follower.
Review the settings
Select the master and open Settings to set Maximum per trade. Then select each follower to check its sizing and safety. See Follower risk.
The group is saved, turned off, as soon as you pick the master. Nothing is copied until you turn it on. The group is named after its master; rename it under the master's Settings.
The master cannot be changed later. If you picked the wrong one, delete the group and create a new one.
Turn on live copying
- Turn on the switch on the group's card.
- The first time, trackmyprop asks you to confirm. Choose Start live copying.
- Wait for the group to show Running. Trades the master places before then are not copied.
On cTrader, trackmyprop checks the current contract sizes at both brokers every time you turn a group on. Fix any symbol it flags, then choose Enable live. See Copy on cTrader.
A group needs at least one follower that is turned on. If live copying is not available on that platform yet, trackmyprop tells you instead of turning the group on.
Pause or stop a group
Turn off the group's switch to pause it. While a group is paused:
- New master trades are not copied.
- Closes, stop-loss and take-profit changes for trades it already copied are not copied either.
- Open positions and orders stay at the broker. Manage them there.
cTrader groups have a Management setting in the master's Overview:

Turning a cTrader group's switch off sets Management to Stopped after you confirm Stop management. To wind a group down without leaving its open trades unmanaged, choose Manage existing instead.
To stop copying to one account only, select the follower and turn off Follower enabled in its Overview. On Tradovate and NinjaTrader, a follower that is turned off receives nothing, exits included.
Copier status
Each group shows one status on its card, in its Copier Canvas and in the menu bar. Only Running copies new master trades.

| Offline | Your Mac has no network. trackmyprop reconnects when it returns. |
| Waiting | Turned on but not started. Check that every account is connected. |
| Needs setup | Something in the setup, such as a missing follower or connection, stops it from starting. Open the group to see why. |
| Stopped | Turned on but not running. Copied positions and orders are not managed. Open the group to see why. |
| Error | Cannot copy. The Copier Canvas shows the reason. |
| Drift | Running, but follower positions no longer match what the copier expects. Compare the accounts at the broker. |

| Paused | You turned the group off. Nothing is copied or managed. |
When a group that should be copying has not shown Running for 30 seconds, Health at the top of Trade Copier reads Bad. Every other screen shows a banner with Open group or Open copier.
When trackmyprop is closed or your Mac sleeps
Copying runs on your Mac, and only while trackmyprop is open and the Mac is awake.
- Turn on Keep copying in the menu bar in Settings → Account so closing the window leaves live groups copying. Quit from the menu bar icon.
- Turn on Open at login so trackmyprop starts when you log in and live groups resume after a restart.
- While a live group copies, trackmyprop keeps an idle Mac awake. Closing the lid or choosing Sleep still puts it to sleep.
- Quitting, signing out or restarting for an update while a group copies asks first. For an update, Install later keeps copying.
trackmyprop never places a master trade late. A trade the master opens while trackmyprop is closed, while the Mac sleeps, while a group reconnects, or before the group shows Running is not copied, however recent. A fill that reaches trackmyprop more than 30 seconds after it happened is not copied either. Each one becomes a missed entry with a notification.
Exits the master made while copying was off:

After you reopen trackmyprop, check the broker for every trade the master placed before the group showed Running, and manage those trades yourself.
Saving a setting while a group copies restarts it for about 2 seconds, and a master trade in that moment is not copied. trackmyprop asks first; choose Save changes to go ahead.
Watch your groups
- Summary: the top of Trade Copier shows Daily P&L, Open P&L, Total balance and Health. Daily P&L is today's result after fees. It reads Partial until every copier account has synced, and an account without a result is never counted as zero.
- Groups: each card shows the group's status, followers and symbol. Switch between grid and list with the buttons beside the summary. Star a group to keep it first.
- Logs: below the groups, every copy result, newest first. See Read copy results in Logs.
- Copier Canvas: select a group to see its master and followers as connected accounts. Select an account to open its settings.
- Copy speed: in the Canvas … menu, how quickly the group copied recent live entries on this Mac.
- Menu bar: on macOS, your groups and their open P&L also appear in the menu bar. See Notifications and the menu bar.
In the Copier Canvas, the master's settings are Overview, Copy rules or Protection, and Settings. A cTrader follower has Overview, Sizing, Symbols and Safety; other followers have Overview and Safety.
Delete a group or remove a follower
- To delete a group, select the master, open Settings and choose Delete group. Copying and all automatic management stop at once, and the group and its history are removed. Open positions and pending orders stay at the broker.
- To remove a follower, select it, open Safety and choose Remove follower. It stops receiving copies at once. Its open positions stay open.
