Install and update the macOS beta

The macOS beta is available to invited Traders using an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) with macOS 13 Ventura or later. Macs on macOS 12 are not offered current builds.

1. Open the beta releases page from your invitation.
2. Sign in with the invited email address.
3. Choose Download.
4. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
5. Drag trackmyprop into Applications.
6. Open trackmyprop from Applications, then sign in inside the app.

Apple may ask you to confirm the first launch. Current beta builds are signed and notarized for macOS.

Automatic beta updatesCopy Anchor Link

After you install an updater-enabled beta, trackmyprop checks for newer beta releases while you are signed in: shortly after launch, then every hour, and again when you return to the window or wake the Mac. A new release downloads in the background and installs the next time you quit the app. Updates download only the parts that changed when your installed version allows it, so they are usually small.

Downloads wait while your Mac is on battery power and continue after it returns to power. Update access uses the same invited email as the beta download page.

Updates never interrupt live copying on their own:

• While a live copier group is armed, updates do not download automatically. Choose Update to vX in the sidebar to download one anyway.
• An update that finishes downloading while copying is live does not install when you quit. It installs when you choose Restart to update, or it is staged on the next launch.
• Restart to update while copying asks first: Stop copying and restart, or Install later.

If your installed beta predates automatic updates, download and install the newest beta manually once. Future signed beta releases can then update automatically.

• Confirm you are signed in inside trackmyprop with the invited email.
• Connect your Mac to power, then switch to the trackmyprop window to start a fresh check.
• If a live copier group is armed, choose Update to vX in the sidebar to download the update.
• Quit and reopen trackmyprop if an update already downloaded.
• If the installed version is old, reinstall the latest beta from the beta releases page.
