Send feedback
Report a bug or idea from trackmyprop and attach helpful images.
Use the feedback form when something looks wrong, a workflow is unclear, or you have an idea for trackmyprop.
Send a report
- Open Feedback in the desktop app sidebar or choose Send feedback from the profile menu.
- Choose Bug, Idea, or Other.
- Add a short title and explain what happened or what you want changed.
- Optionally drag images into the form or choose Browse.
- Review the selected images, remove anything you do not want to share, then choose Send feedback.
What a report includes
trackmyprop attaches diagnostics to help the team reproduce the problem: the app version and build, your Mac's platform, the current section and screen, and up to 5 recent errors.
Before a report is sent, the app and trackmyprop's server both scrub the diagnostics. They replace emails, sign-in tokens, keys and secrets, ids, home-folder names and file paths, query strings, numbers of 4 or more digits, and money amounts (balances, prices, P&L and fees). Each diagnostic line is cut to 300 characters. A report never includes broker credentials, trade history, or imported file contents.
Who sees what
Reports are tracked as issues on GitHub and posted to the trackmyprop team's Slack:
- The GitHub issue carries only an anonymous id for you, never your email or name. Your title and description appear as quoted text, and the app section, screen, version, build and platform appear as plain, scrubbed text.
- Your email and name, the images, and their file names go only to the team's Slack, so the team can reply to you. The GitHub issue lists each image only by its position, type and size.
Image limits
You can attach up to five PNG, JPG, or WebP images. Each image can be up to 5 MB, and all images together can be up to 20 MB. JPG and WebP images are re-encoded before sending to remove camera and location details.
Every selected image has its own preview and remove button. If one image has an unsupported format or exceeds a limit, the form names that image and explains why it was not added. Other valid images stay selected in their original order.
The report can still be sent without images.
If sending fails
The form stays open so you do not lose your title, description, or selected images. Follow the message shown in the form, then choose Send feedback again. Sending the same open report again never creates a second issue or a second Slack message.
Each account can send 5 reports per minute and 30 per day. A report larger than 22 MB in total is refused with "Request body is too large"; remove an image and try again.
